When twelve-year-old Kesh Jones begins to hear things in the walls and spiders begin to glow, he gets nervous. Then when he finds a panther and a python lounging in his living room, he panics and runs into a November night filled with strange events, creatures, and more danger than a kid from a small town could imagine. Kesh and his friends, Jesse and Kiran, have been chosen to lead an awakening and to in a struggle against the forces that seem destined to realize the Ojibwe prophecy: "The air and waters will run with poison.” As the friends begin to discover their coyote spirits, they learn that they have been chosen to face the violent owner of the Garou Chemical Company. They will soon become teachers, tricksters and warriors for the natural world.
